Experience:

I saw this at a trade show and was very impressed. Users of vario connect or braille connect devices will be familiar with the layout. The braille keyboard, double space bars, three command keys down each side. The command keys on this model are a bit flat for my taste but stull usible.

aside from the ability to connect up to five devices, the featue that struck me most is the case. This is the only braille controller I have seen in the 40 cell bracket that comes with a ligitimate carrying case option. I had to work with executive products to build one for the braille connect devices in order to get this for my own display. I was happy to do it, but it goes to show how valuable this component is to me.

The vibrater is the third runner up feature. For my deaf-blind clients, the ability to be notified of updates directly on the display will be a huge impact if I can get it into their hands. For me, it's just a fluffy feature that I happen to be really intrigued by.

Baum is the first manufacturer I have met to actively support android via brailleback. Most other manufacturers seem to be taking a back seat and letting the community do the work.

This unit is significantly more expensive than the competition, but it's the first since the alva BC640, which I hate by the way, to offer braille controller features that are new.
