In the 2.4 days, I used to be able to type on my qwerty keyboard anywhere on my home screen and a very powerful search tool would come up. I could use it to dial phone numbers by contact or by number, compose new email, make simple calculations, open any app on my phone, and more. Since android 4.2 I've lost that functionality. The built in search tools are really gutted in terms of what they can do. Is there any way to get this functionality back?
