I don't understand how to navigate the android device. I don't understand how to swipe, and how to tap. I found out from the dictionary that swiping means a hard hit, and that can't be done with the device: again, I don't know how to tap. When I tap I don't get any activation of what I touch. Sometines, when i touch the screen from up to down, I keep hearing the same item being spoken. So my problem now is that since I can't use the touch screen, can my bluetooth keyborde serve as a useful alternative. I discoveered that I cannot navigate some apps with the bluetooth keyboard. Please what can I do. Can you give me tips on how to swipe and tap?

yes you can... sort of
Answer:
The short answer is yes, you can use modern android devices with keyboards and get access to most if not all features. I'm using a keyboard right now.
The drawback is that you have to understand and use explore by touch to accomplish some key tasks. These include:
Setting up your device,
paring your keyboard especially for the first time,
and accessing information from talkback settings such as the list of keyboard commands and the explore by touch tutorial.
I suggest you get a coach and master at least enough explore by touch to tap a button that doesn't have a keyboard shortcut or reconnect your keyboard if it fails to pair automatically one day.
Modern devices are very much centred around the ability to touch the screen. I'm still on marshmallow. It's possible later android versions have improved keyboard access even beyond what I have, but inevitably you will want to do the odd job that simply can not be done from the keyboard.

Using the explore by touch
Answer:
Hello:
Thank yyou very much for your response to my post. The problem I have with explore by touch is that I just don't understand how to swipe. When I move my fingers around the screen, I don't get to hear much as I do when I use the boluetooth keyboard. Added to that when I tap on an item from any where on the screen the item does not get activated. So, can you please help me understand what I am not doing right. How exactly should I swipe my fingers around the screen, and how should I tap. Do I tap with my whole finger or just the tip of my finger. And then do I move around the scrren with speed or slowly by dragging mmy fingers. Yesterday, when i launched a new Android device after it had been set up with sighted assistance, I attempted to unlock it when I turned it on and the scrren went off, when I stopped accessing it for some time. Talkback kept telling me to swipe with two fingers to unlock the device. But each time I used two fingers, I got nothing: this happened until I used the bluetooth keyboard, which unlocked the screen automatically when it was paired up.
Please how can I improve my use of the Android device. I hope you understand my problem. Please kindly respond appropriately.
Hoping to read froj you again. And thanking you again for your response.
Kind regards.
