Ghost Commander File Manager

Description:

Ghost Commander is a dual-panel file manager (as well as a FTP, SFTP, SMB, WebDAV, Drive, BOX, Dropbox client!) which will let you to manage your files locally or remotely as well as tweak your system in the root mode. It is customizable, ad-free open sourced and donation supported!

The main idea behind this is classic: copy and move files from one panel to another. This method of operating is far more convenient than what is offered by most other file managers, in which you would have to copy/cut items and then navigate to various different folders to paste them - back and forth,...

This free open source file manager is the best I've found, and it works very well with screen readers and keyboards. Many functions have keybindings by default, and all are labeled. It can even remount your system partition writeable if you have a rooted device, so that you can edit system files in place or copy/move/delete system files. The feature I use the most is the dual panel layout that allows swiping between the two panels and automatically selects the hidden panel as the location to copy or move a file. This feature makes copying and moving files far easier than it is on any other Android file manager I've tried, and it's this feature alone if nothing else that makes Ghost Commander the best.
