blue mail button descriptions from warren
To get you started, the unlabeled buttons as frollows, starting from the bottom left:
1. Mark For later, in other words, when you tap on this button, then you get options like: Deal with it later today, later this evening, in a day, in a week, etc.
2. Mark as Done; in other words, tapping this button, would translate to say, “I’m done with this one, get it out of the way.”
3. Next comes “delete”, this deletes the message.
4. Reply all;
5. “More options”, This brings up other options like: Reply, Forward, Archive, Mark as Spam, etc.
On the top right corner, you have “nPrevious and Next buttons’. These are labeled. If you tap on the “next” button, it takes you to the next mail, and tapping “Previous” would take you to the previous mail.
Below these two buttons is a little button, which I labled as “mail options”. Tapping that button brings up three items:
Reply, Reply to all and “forward.
Well, I’m very pleased with this app since it supports different email providers, and setting it up is a breeze.
I chose Google account, and all I had to do, was tap my Google account name that pops up and everything is set up by tapping next after confirming that everything is the way I want it to be.
Well, give this client a spin!
configuring typemail for better talkback experience
From:
Michael Maslo
I Have been following the list discussion on email applications. I have seen how people say that type mail has to many buttons between each message.
I know there was discussion that there was later, to do, reply, reply all etc. I am not sure if anyone knew this but you can get rid of all this except for two buttons.
If you like threaded conversation such as I, I will explain below where you can go and how you can configure type mail to get rid of everything but the contact detail button and the email options button.
Let me say before I give step by step instructions that in the email options button if you should click it what you will find in that menu.
You will find first the subject of the email, then you see reply all, reply, forward, delte, archaive, and I forgot one or two more buttons. So in otherwords, if you find a email you want to forward, instead of opening the email up, click on the email options and then click forward and you are in the filed to type the email address. Also, if you just want to delte the emal, click on email options and then delete.
Now if you are like me where I review the emails and then want to delte the mall at once, it is also very easy to do.
So before I give instructions on how to configure the buttons on the main screen I wil discuss on how to delete all the emails at once.
First once you have your inbox in front of you, click on the more options which is right next to the name of the account you have open.
2. once you do this, click on multi edit, the menu will close.
3. Look for the more options at the bottom right hand corner of the screen and click it.
4. click on mark all and that menu will close
5. Ten look for delete at the bottom center of the screen. Once you have clicked that, all the messages will be deleted plus talk back will tell how many messages have been removed from the folder you are in.
Now, to configure what actions buttons are showing up in your inbox or your folder you are in.
1. It is easier when you have a message in the inbox for the more options at the bottom right hand corner is easier found.
2. From the folder, bottom right hand corner is a more options menu, click this button.
3. Go to global settings
4. Click on Customize menus
5. Click on configure action buttons
6. First click on configure right swipe menu
Once there you have to select one thing out of the list presented. I selected more.
Once you have made your selection hit the back button and then
7. Click on configure left swipe menu. Again you have to select 1 action button. I selected delete button. Again when finished selecting what you want, hit the back button
8. Once you have hit the back button, there is a option which sttes you can configure email options menu and that is required 4 buton to be selected. I did not mess with that for it has reply reply all delete forward archaive etc.
There is also a configure notification menu in this menu you can select one to three options. Again this is when a message comes in and is in your notification area. It does not stay there very long and I have not messed with this choices for it does not bother me.
The next options there is a multi edit menu which you can again make a selection of 4 different actions buttons. I have not done much with this but I believe it has to do with once you have selected the multi edit button from the more options button in the folder it is what choices it will give you when a message has been selected
Lastly, there is a where notification menu which I have not played with.
This is a quick run down to show you how very configurable this email client is.
Visually I can say that up front the way it looks is not what we see as talk back users. My son told me that when he swipes left or right it gives those options which we see before configuring the menus the way we like.
I hope this hels people who want a good threaded email client.
Now that I have found a awesome email client which supports threaded view, I would not use aqua mail for all the money in the world.
Configured typemail but...
Hum, maybe it's just me, but this is a very strange email client. First, I followed the directions above to get rid of all of the action buttons, and even though I chose reply and delete for my left and right swipes, all I got was the email actions button. Then as I was swiping around, reply and delete appeard; However, when I hit delete to delete a message, the email actions button for another message activated. Fortunately it was one that I wanted to delete and so I swiped to delete and got rid of it, but the original message I was working on still remains. My typemail life was looking up for a minute when it was just the email actions button on the screen. Does any one get the left and right swipe menu buttons to actually work?
